This national campaign was launched in 2004 and focuses on early detection of Autism. The NCBDD provides national leadership promoting the health of babies, children and adults and potential for a productive life.

The National Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center (NECTAC) has a cooperative agreement with the Office of Special Education Programs of the U.S. Department of Education through September 30, 20011 to provide supports that will strengthen state and local service systems to ensure high quality, evidence based family centered services for children (birth – 5 years) and their families. Access to NECTAC’s webpage on Autism is obtained under the second bullet “Topic Pages” by clicking on the arrow and selecting “Autism” and then clicking on the “Go” button on the right.

The Professional Development in Autism Center (PDA) has five center locations in the United States. The PDA centers are located at the University of Washington - Seattle, University of Colorado - Denver, Maryland Coalition for Inclusive Education - Hanover, University of South Florida - Tampa, and the University of Oklahoma - Oklahoma City. The PDA centers offer services that include trainings, workshops, and consulting. PDA's goal is to increase the capacity of school teams so that every child with ASD can access a high quality public school education. The website provides detailed information on services offered.

The Interactive Collaborative Autism Network (ICAN) is supported by the U.S. Department of Education through a grant. The website is a collaborative effort among two State departments of education in Connecticut and Minnesota and the University of Kansas. The website offers online instructional modules on the characteristics, assessment and interventions for autism spectrum disorder. The website is free to public access.
